An exciting contract opportunity awaits a dedicated professional skilled in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This full-time position supports a high school student in an in-person setting, Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM CST.

As a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, you’ll provide individualized instruction and support, ensuring educational growth and inclusion. With a manageable one-student caseload, you’ll have the opportunity to create a significant impact, fostering both academic success and confidence.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (or eligibility for certification)
• Previous experience working with high school-age students
• Strong knowledge of instructional methods and assistive technologies for Deaf/Hard of Hearing learners
• Skilled in adapting curriculum and communication strategies to meet unique needs
• Excellent collaboration skills with staff, families, and related services
• Ability to deliver instruction and implement IEP goals in a supportive, accessible manner

Primary Duties:

• Develop individualized educational plans tailored for a high school student with hearing loss
• Provide direct instruction, classroom support, and assistance with adaptive technology
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to track progress and adjust strategies
• Support student participation in classroom activities and school-wide events
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment with appropriate communication accommodations
• Maintain documentation and compliance with service records and IEP objectives
