Step into a meaningful role guiding and supporting a high school student as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work in person, performing specialized instruction for one student in a supportive educational environment. This assignment runs Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM CST, starting August 4, 2026.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
  • Strong understanding of instructional strategies and accommodations for students with hearing impairments
  • Experience working in a school setting with high school students preferred
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Ability to create individualized educational plans and collaborate with IEP teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction tailored to the individual needs of a high school student who is Deaf/Hard of Hearing
  • Develop and implement IEPs, monitor student progress, and document achievement
  • Foster a positive learning environment and ensure accessibility to curriculum and school activities
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to provide seamless support and appropriate modifications
  • Maintain a consistent schedule, providing in-person instruction during assigned hours
