Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
- Experience working with K-12 students in an educational setting
- Ability to provide direct instruction and support to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in various school environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, families, and school personnel
- Flexibility to travel between school locations as this is an itinerant role
- If interested in a full-time opportunity: appropriate licensure in special education
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction and accommodations to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students across multiple schools (K-12)
- Develop and implement IEP goals and monitor student progress consistently
- Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and parents to promote student access and success
- Arrange and provide appropriate assistive technology, resources, and classroom modifications
- Advocate effectively for student needs within the educational setting
- Travel between schools as an itinerant educator, ensuring continuity of services
