Empower students to thrive by supporting educational access as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing. Your expertise will help shape communication strategies, provide specialized instruction, and collaborate with educators and families to ensure each child's academic and social success.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Valid state teaching certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (or eligibility to obtain)
• Proficiency in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong understanding of auditory amplification devices and assistive technology
• American Sign Language (ASL) proficiency preferred
• Experience working with students across a range of ages and hearing abilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to fostering a positive, supportive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction aligned with students' IEP goals
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to adapt curriculum and instructional materials
• Advocate for accessible communication methods, including sign language, oral, and total communication approaches
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
• Provide consultative support and in-service training for school staff
• Contribute to a culture that values diversity, inclusion, and individual achievement
