Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• State certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDHH)
• Experience teaching children or adolescents who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred
• Strong communication skills with a collaborative, student-centered approach
• Flexibility and adaptability in a school-based setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students with hearing impairments in accordance with IEP goals
• Assess student progress and modify instruction as needed
• Collaborate with regular education teachers, parents, and support staff to promote inclusive practices
• Support students’ social and emotional development, serving as a resource and advocate
• Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to goal-setting and accommodations
• Maintain documented progress and compliance with applicable state/federal regulations
