  • Proficiency with various communication methods, including American Sign Language (ASL) and auditory-oral approaches
  • Strong collaboration skills, able to partner with general education teachers, families, and support staff
  • Knowledge of IEP development and compliance
  • Compassionate and patient, with a commitment to fostering student independence and confidence

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized instructional plans tailored to students’ unique communication and learning needs
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to provide accommodations, modifications, and consultative support
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
  • Advocate for students’ needs and participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise and recommendations
  • Foster a supportive, communicative, and positive learning environment
