Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • State certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (or eligibility to obtain certification)
  • Experience supporting K-12 students in mainstream and self-contained classroom settings
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to develop and implement IEPs focused on language, academic, and social-emotional growth
  • Familiarity with assistive listening devices, ASL, and other communication modalities preferred
  • Flexibility to support students across varying grade levels and needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to meet IEP goals and support student progress
  • Adapt curriculum and interventions to facilitate access in general education settings
  • Advocate for appropriate accommodations and modifications in the learning environment
  • Provide consultative support to classroom teachers and staff regarding best practices and student needs
  • Collaborate regularly with families, school staff, and related service providers
  • Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and progress monitoring
