DHH Teacher | Oakland, California

Make a lasting impact by supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in an in-person, itinerant role across multiple school sites near Oakland, CA. This contract position offers a rewarding opportunity for an attentive, flexible educator ready to begin August 10, 2026, and continue through June 4, 2027, working 37.5 hours each week. You’ll be stepping into a valued position to provide critical in-person support—virtual instruction is not part of this assignment.

What We’re Seeking:

• Valid California DHH (Deaf/Hard of Hearing) certification or licensure.
• Previous experience working within California schools or with similar student populations.
• Skilled in working with diverse caseloads and comfortable with itinerant travel between multiple school sites.
• Strong organizational skills and clear, proactive communication practices.
• Commitment to in-person instruction; virtual-only educators will not be considered for this position.

Role Highlights:

• Provide direct, personalized instruction and support to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
• Design and adapt curricula and learning materials to meet student goals, in accordance with IEPs.
• Monitor student progress, maintain comprehensive documentation, and collaborate with related service providers and teachers.
• Foster an inclusive, encouraging learning environment in each school you visit.
• Serve as a resource for faculty and families on best practices and current trends in DHH education.
