Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid state licensure and credential for Deaf/Hard of Hearing teaching (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience working with students in K-12 settings who are deaf or have hearing loss
- Proficiency in sign language (ASL or other accepted systems)
- Strong collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and service providers
- Adaptability to tailor instruction for diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication and advocacy abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging Individualized Education Program (IEP)-driven instruction for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Utilize a range of communication modalities and assistive technologies as needed
- Collaborate with general educators to create accessible classroom experiences
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Serve as a resource and advocate for students and their families
- Provide input for IEP meetings and develop meaningful educational goals
- Foster an inclusive, welcoming, and supportive classroom climate

Compensation for this position ranges from $37.71 to $57.71. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
