Desired Qualifications:

• Valid teaching credential for Deaf/Hard of Hearing or eligibility for certification
• Experience providing instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to assess students’ needs and adapt lessons accordingly
• Familiarity with various amplification devices, assistive technology, and educational modifications
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
• Previous school-based experience preferred but not required

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative services to students with hearing loss as outlined in IEPs
• Develop and adapt individualized instructional materials
• Provide support and guidance for general education staff regarding accommodations and modifications
• Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, educational audiologists, and other specialists
• Facilitate communication between students, families, and educational teams
• Contribute to ongoing assessment, progress monitoring, and IEP meetings
