Key Qualifications and Requirements:
- Valid certification or credential in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
- Experience supporting children and adolescents with hearing impairments, including those who utilize cochlear implants
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for coordinating with school teams and families
- Ability to travel within the county and work across multiple sites as needed
- Flexibility to adapt lesson plans and materials to diverse learning environments
- On-site presence is mandatory; this is not a virtual/remote position
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support services for a caseload of approximately 30 students in various locations throughout the county
- Conduct assessments and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Offer guidance, resources, and advocacy to families and teachers to foster an inclusive and accessible classroom environment
- Collaborate with school personnel to ensure accommodations and modifications are implemented effectively
- Monitor student progress, adjusting strategies and interventions as necessary
- Assist in training staff and providing consultation regarding auditory technology and accessibility
