Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience or strong knowledge in educational techniques for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Familiarity with K-12 curriculum and IEP development
- Proficient communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with classroom teachers, therapists, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and accessible learning environment
Essential Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and tailor educational plans for students across all grade levels (K-12)
- Adapt materials and teaching methods to meet unique student needs
- Work with classroom teams to implement and monitor accommodations and modifications
- Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and progress reviews
- Provide consultative support to staff and families on best practices for DHH education
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all relevant guidelines
