Empower students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing to achieve their fullest potential by providing specialized support in an engaging K-12 setting. This rewarding contract opportunity is based near Omaha, NE and focuses on serving young learners in an onsite environment from August 13, 2026, through May 27, 2027. You'll collaborate with a dedicated team, utilize innovative strategies, and make a meaningful impact in a dynamic school community.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
  • Experience or strong knowledge in educational techniques for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
  • Familiarity with K-12 curriculum and IEP development
  • Proficient communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with classroom teachers, therapists, and families
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and accessible learning environment

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction and tailor educational plans for students across all grade levels (K-12)
  • Adapt materials and teaching methods to meet unique student needs
  • Work with classroom teams to implement and monitor accommodations and modifications
  • Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and progress reviews
  • Provide consultative support to staff and families on best practices for DHH education
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all relevant guidelines

This is an onsite-only role, ensuring you can have a hands-on impact with your students every day. You'll enjoy a structured schedule of 37.5 hours per week, giving you the perfect balance to dedicate yourself to your students while maintaining a fulfilling career.
