This full-time contract opportunity offers the chance to make a lasting impact for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing during the 2026-2027 school year. With caseload specifics and age group assignments to be finalized soon, you'll collaborate with a team dedicated to ensuring every learner's success.

Qualifications & Certification:

  • Current, active Department of Education certification required
  • Experience working with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students preferred
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching to individual student needs
  • Willingness to work across multiple school sites (assignment varies)
  • Fingerprinting and completion of all time-sensitive credentialing requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in individual and small group settings
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support student success
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by the district
  • Serve as an advocate and resource for Deaf/Hard of Hearing awareness and best practices within the school setting
  • Participate in professional development to remain current in instructional strategies and assistive technologies
