This full-time contract opportunity offers the chance to make a lasting impact for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing during the 2026-2027 school year. With caseload specifics and age group assignments to be finalized soon, you'll collaborate with a team dedicated to ensuring every learner's success.
Qualifications & Certification:
- Current, active Department of Education certification required
- Experience working with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students preferred
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt teaching to individual student needs
- Willingness to work across multiple school sites (assignment varies)
- Fingerprinting and completion of all time-sensitive credentialing requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in individual and small group settings
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support student success
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by the district
- Serve as an advocate and resource for Deaf/Hard of Hearing awareness and best practices within the school setting
- Participate in professional development to remain current in instructional strategies and assistive technologies
