Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
  • Experience creating and implementing IEPs tailored to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues
  • Familiarity with age-appropriate assessment and instructional strategies
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver differentiated instruction to meet the unique needs of Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
  • Collaborate with general and special education staff to support students' academic and social-emotional growth
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals
  • Utilize assistive technology and visual communication tools
  • Provide guidance and resources to families to encourage learning beyond the classroom
  • Stay current with best practices in Deaf Education
