Qualifications:
- Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
- Experience with various communication modalities (ASL, oral, total communication, etc.)
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Strong organizational and collaboration skills
- Ability to create individualized lesson plans and adapt instructional strategies
- Passion for fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct educational services to students with hearing impairments
- Assess student progress and tailor instruction to meet individual needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families
- Document student growth and maintain accurate records
- Advocate for the use of assistive technology and appropriate accommodations
