Your experience and passion for teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing will be essential in helping these learners thrive. As part of a dynamic educational team, you’ll be creating tailored learning environments, supporting individualized education programs (IEPs), and championing accessibility.

Qualifications and Experience Desired:

  • Valid certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education or eligibility for such credentials.
  • Previous experience as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Deaf culture, ASL, and communication modalities.
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Your Role Includes:

  • Delivering engaging, age-appropriate instruction to students with hearing differences.
  • Adapting curriculum and teaching strategies to meet IEP goals.
  • Assessing student progress and maintaining accurate records.
  • Consulting with general education staff on accommodations and best practices.
  • Providing support to families and caregivers to ensure consistency across environments.
  • Collaborating with related service providers to address students’ holistic needs.
