Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid state teaching certification with an endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
• Experience instructing and accommodating Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in school settings
• Comprehensive understanding of IEPs and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Skilled in adapting curriculum and using assistive and augmentative communication technology
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is highly preferred
• Strong advocacy, communication, and organizational skills

Daily Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and individualized educational support to students with hearing impairments
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to each student’s needs and IEP goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster inclusive participation
• Monitor student progress, document growth, and participate in IEP meetings
• Advocate for necessary accommodations and ensure access to classroom resources and technology
