Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid state licensure or eligibility as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
• Relevant teaching certification
• Previous experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing strongly preferred
• Comfortable adapting instruction to suit individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate with general education staff, families, and other service providers

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, both individually and in group settings
• Assess students’ needs and develop, implement, and monitor IEPs
• Facilitate communication and learning using specialized strategies, assistive technology, and visual aids
• Provide resources and recommendations to teachers and families to support student inclusion and success
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school activities
• Maintain accurate records and support student progress toward educational goals
