Key Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing
• Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with students, parents, and staff
• Ability to adapt instruction and use assistive technology as appropriate
• Passion for fostering communication and language development among Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
• Previous experience in a school setting preferred

Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in alignment with IEP goals
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies to maximize growth
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support comprehensive student development
• Provide resources, training, and advocacy for families and staff regarding hearing loss and accessible instruction
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and services provided
• Participate in IEP meetings and staff collaboration as required
• Foster an inclusive, accessible classroom environment
