Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid state certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or a related field
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication modalities
• Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ideally in a K-12 school setting
• Strong collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and support staff
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance and training to school staff and families about effective communication strategies
• Advocate for students’ needs and accommodations in classroom and extracurricular settings
