Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Rock River, WY

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid teaching certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) for the appropriate grade levels
• Understanding of deaf culture and fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred
• Experience creating and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to accommodate diverse student learning needs
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Previous experience in a school or educational setting is highly valued

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with hearing differences
• Collaborate with general education teachers, interpreters, and school staff for student success
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the writing and execution of these plans
• Provide guidance to parents and caregivers on supporting learning at home
• Stay current with best practices and communicate any necessary accommodations
