DHH Teacher | Rock River, Wyoming

Qualifications & Experience Sought:

• Valid state teaching certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing or eligibility to obtain.
• Experience teaching or working with students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing in a school setting.
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication methods used by Deaf/Hard of Hearing students.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs.
• Familiarity with assistive technology and accommodations for hearing accessibility is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction to students with hearing differences, adapting curriculum as necessary.
• Collaborate with general educators and specialists to provide integrated services.
• Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise on hearing accommodations and modifications.
• Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to maximize learning.
• Serve as a resource and advocate for students, families, and faculty.
