With an estimated 10–15 hours per week, you’ll provide specialized instruction and advocacy for students while collaborating with a dedicated educational team.
Qualifications:
- Current credential or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Previous experience working in school settings with D/HH students preferred
- Proficient understanding of accommodations, assistive technology, and IEP processes for D/HH learners
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with both staff and families
- Passion for empowering students and fostering an inclusive classroom environment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative services to students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing, as indicated in individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Partner with classroom teachers to modify curriculum and instruction methods as needed
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of services provided
- Consult with families and educational teams to address students’ communication and learning needs
- Facilitate access to appropriate resources and technologies
- Participate in meetings and contribute to evaluations, goal planning, and ongoing support strategies
