Collaborate with educators, families, and staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment tailored to each student's unique needs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching credentials for Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) students
  • Proven experience working with children with hearing impairments in educational settings
  • Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and appropriate instructional strategies
  • Skilled in using assistive technology and various communication methodologies
  • Excellent interpersonal, advocacy, and communication skills
  • Flexibility to support students across a range of grade levels

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized instruction for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Conduct assessments and collaborate on IEPs to ensure compliance and effectiveness
  • Adapt curriculum materials and classroom environments for optimal accessibility
  • Provide direct and consultative services to students, teachers, and families
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and ongoing staff development
  • Support communication, language development, and self-advocacy skills in students
  • Serve as a resource for staff on best practices and assistive technologies related to hearing differences

Compensation for this position ranges from $37.71 to $57.71. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
