Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and/or experience in total communication environments
• Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and individual educational planning
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate with general education staff, families, and support teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across a variety of settings
• Adapt curriculum materials and modify instructional techniques as needed
• Assess and monitor student progress toward IEP goals
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure student growth and inclusion
• Consult and provide resources to classroom teachers and families
• Advocate for student access, accommodations, and communication needs
