Desired Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification with endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field
• Experience developing IEPs and adapting curriculum to accommodate diverse student needs
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with educators, families, and service providers
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication modalities for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
• Knowledge of assistive listening devices and technology integration
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, accessible educational environment

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, individually and in groups
• Design, implement, and assess customized lesson plans and learning strategies
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal-setting for students’ educational plans
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student learning and inclusion
• Offer guidance, consultation, and training to general education staff regarding accommodations
• Communicate regularly with families to share student progress and strategies for success
• Stay current on best practices and emerging technologies in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
