This contract position focuses on supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in a small educational setting. With a light caseload of only two students and a manageable commitment of two hours per week, this opportunity is well-suited for professionals who may already be on assignment and interested in supplementing their schedule with additional hours. Service delivery must be in-person to meet the needs of the students, so remote or virtual arrangements will not be accepted for this role.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid credential or certification to teach Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
  • Prior experience working with school-aged children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs) and adapting instruction to student needs
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive, accessible learning environment

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction to two students according to their IEP goals
  • Adapt instructional materials to optimize learning for each student’s unique needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families to ensure cohesive support
  • Track and document student progress and provide input for IEP updates
  • Maintain a positive and encouraging classroom atmosphere
  • Work on site, as virtual or remote work is not an option
