Expand your experience as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing in a dynamic, contract role serving students across a district near San Francisco, CA. This position spans the 2026-2027 school year and offers the chance to support a range of learners from early childhood through transition-age, using primarily a consultative approach. As an itinerant teacher, you'll work in various schools with most located in the Richmond area, collaborating closely with educators and staff to deliver services on-site.

Qualifications:

  • Active DHH (Deaf/Hard of Hearing) teaching credential
  • Current CTC (California Commission on Teacher Credentialing) certification
  • Experience or background in consultative, itinerant service delivery is highly valued
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site educational support and consultation for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, encompassing a caseload districtwide from early childhood through transition
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, special educators, and families to develop and implement effective accommodations and instructional strategies
  • Conduct assessments, maintain student records, and develop IEP goals relevant to each student’s unique needs
  • Serve as a resource for staff development and parent education related to hearing loss and access to learning
  • Travel between multiple school sites throughout the district as part of your role

This is a full-time, 35-hour per week contract position offering the opportunity to make a meaningful difference across a variety of school environments.
