Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Teaching Certification with a Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement (or eligibility)
• Background working with children or adolescents who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication modalities
• Strong collaboration skills to work with classroom teachers, families, and support staff
• Ability to develop and implement individualized educational plans
• Enthusiastic commitment to advancing students’ academic and social development

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and support tailored to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students’ needs
• Collaborate with educators, interpreters, and related services to ensure access to curriculum
• Conduct student assessments and adjust instructional methods as necessary
• Advocate for student inclusion and participate in IEP meetings
• Provide resources and training for staff and families to support student success
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
