Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid teaching credential in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education
• Experience working with K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and familiarity with technology and assistive devices
• Ability to create and modify IEPs collaboratively
• Strong communication and advocacy skills with students, families, and colleagues

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor effective individualized educational plans (IEPs)
• Deliver differentiated instruction using appropriate modalities, including ASL, Total Communication, and technology supports
• Collaborate closely with general education staff, related service providers, and families
• Assess student progress, providing regular updates and adjusting strategies as needed
• Foster an inclusive and empowering classroom environment that celebrates diversity and promotes student confidence
