Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education or related field
  • Experience delivering instruction and support to students with hearing impairments
  • Strong knowledge of sign language (ASL, SEE, or other preferred)
  • Familiarity with IEP development, progress tracking, and assistive technology
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills
  • Passion for empowering students and promoting inclusive education

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans, accommodations, and modifications
  • Support students in mainstream and resource classroom settings
  • Consult with teachers, interpreters, and therapists to maximize student learning
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress evaluation
  • Foster self-advocacy and communication skills in students
  • Maintain accurate records and collaborate on assessments, reports, and planning
