- Valid teaching credentials with specialization in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education

- Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and other hands-on communication methods
- Experience creating inclusive and accessible lesson plans
- Collaborative approach, working well with colleagues, families, and support staff
- Adaptability and empathy when meeting diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tailored lesson plans for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Foster an inclusive, accessible, and engaging classroom environment
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed to facilitate growth
- Advocate for students’ individual needs and ensure accessibility to educational resources
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers, speech therapists, and support staff
- Communicate effectively with families and participate in IEP meetings
