What you bring:

• Valid certification or licensure to teach Deaf/Hard of Hearing students (required)
• Previous experience working with children or adolescents with hearing challenges preferred
• Strong knowledge of specialized instructional strategies and assistive technologies
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet unique student needs
• Familiarity with IEP development and progress monitoring
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or willingness to learn

Your responsibilities:

• Design and implement tailored instructional plans for students with hearing differences
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure effective accommodations
• Assess, document, and evaluate students’ progress toward IEP goals
• Facilitate communication through direct instruction, interpreting services, and assistive technology
• Advocate for accessible learning resources and promote inclusive participation
• Provide ongoing support, consultation, and training for faculty and families
