Key Qualifications:
- Valid Washington state teaching license with endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
- Experience or training in teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to tailor instructional strategies to various learning needs and styles
- Committed to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing, adapting lessons to individual needs
- Collaborate with general education staff, support teams, and families to develop and implement IEPs
- Monitor student progress, documenting growth and adjusting instructional approaches as necessary
- Engage in ongoing communication with parents/guardians to update on progress and foster support
- Participate in school-wide professional development and team meetings
