Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education (NH or eligible for NH certification)
• Demonstrated expertise in providing specialized instruction for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
• Extensive knowledge of IEP and 504 plan processes and development
• Skilled in utilizing NHSEIS for documenting and contributing to student plans
• Experience working within collaborative educational teams, including other specialists and families
• Ability to effectively manage, troubleshoot, and support student amplification devices
• Strong organizational skills for maintaining records and progress data
• Commitment to ongoing professional development

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction tailored to student needs
• Use evaluation and progress reports to inform instructional decisions and IEP proposals
• Work closely with school teams to plan, implement, and monitor student supports
• Serve as consultant and resource to families, staff, and service providers
• Deliver staff training related to hearing loss, technology, and accommodations
• Oversee and manage hearing assistive technology for students
• Encourage and teach self-advocacy skills for students in managing their equipment and educational needs
• Uphold all special education procedural safeguards and district policies
• Complete required professional development and fulfill building responsibilities
