Make a meaningful impact on students’ lives as a skilled professional specializing in supporting learners who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. This onsite, contract opportunity offers the chance to work collaboratively across multiple school sites in the vibrant Sunnyvale area. You'll be stepping into a crucial, in-person role, as the schools transition away from virtual DHH support.

Starting August 10, 2026, through June 4, 2027, you’ll work a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, traveling between campuses to provide direct instruction and services. Your organizational talents and effective communication skills will be highly valued as you cultivate positive relationships with students, families, and educational teams.

Qualifications:

  • Active California certification or license as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
  • Solid experience working in California schools (preferred)
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and a collaborative approach
  • Strong communication skills with students, caregivers, and colleagues
  • Comfortable in an itinerant role, efficiently managing a caseload across several sites

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct, individualized instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in person, adapting methods for various needs and grade levels
  • Consult and collaborate with general education staff to support inclusion and access in the classroom
  • Provide recommendations for classroom accommodations and modifications
  • Develop and implement IEP goals, documenting progress and maintaining compliance
  • Serve as a resource for families, offering guidance and communication strategies
  • Travel between assigned campuses as needed to meet student needs
