Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
• Degree in Deaf Education or a related field
• Experience working with school-aged children who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Knowledge of various communication modalities, including ASL, oral, cued speech, or total communication
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, working effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Develop and implement IEPs in cooperation with other education professionals
• Provide consultative support and guidance to classroom teachers and staff
• Monitor, document, and report on student progress toward educational goals
• Advocate for accessible learning environments and support inclusion across school settings
• Partner with families to support student development and learning
• Participate in relevant meetings, professional development, and training sessions
