You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, tailoring instruction to meet individual needs and empowering students to achieve their fullest potential.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or related field
  • Valid state teaching certification or eligibility in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
  • Knowledge of various communication methods (e.g., ASL, oral/aural approaches, cued speech)
  • Strong advocacy skills, fostering inclusive classroom and school communities
  • Experience with IEP development, progress monitoring, and parent collaboration
  • Adaptable, patient, and passionate about student-centered learning
  • Background with technology and adaptive devices for hearing loss is a plus

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized educational plans
  • Deliver direct instruction to students with hearing differences in individual or group settings
  • Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff
  • Adapt curriculum, teaching materials, and assessments
  • Assess student progress and adjust strategies as needed
  • Foster positive relationships with families and provide resources to ensure educational continuity
  • Advocate for accessibility and accommodations school-wide
