A full-time teaching opportunity is available supporting a kindergarten student with hearing impairment through telehealth services. The role focuses on language acquisition and American Sign Language (ASL) development for a student who is currently learning basic signs and uses a cochlear implant. This contract position requires immediate availability through May 21.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver telehealth instruction tailored to a kindergarten student with hearing loss
- Support language development and ASL acquisition from a beginner level
- Implement individualized educational strategies to meet student-specific communication needs
- Collaborate with caregivers and other professionals to monitor progress and adjust instructional approaches
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing
- Experience working with early childhood students using cochlear implants
- Proficiency in ASL with a strong understanding of language acquisition techniques
- Ability to effectively deliver telehealth instruction
- Strong communication and adaptability skills
Location:
- Remote telehealth instruction supporting a student located in Box Springs, GA
