Virtual Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing | Ohio

A specialized opportunity is available in Columbus, Ohio for a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing with expertise in telehealth and teletherapy to provide consultative services. This contract role involves delivering tailored support to students requiring specialized services through flexible virtual support.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct teletherapy and telehealth sessions focusing on the unique needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Develop and implement individualized strategies to support students' educational and communication goals.
• Collaborate with educators and families to enhance student progress through consultative guidance.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress.
• Stay current with best practices and technology advancements related to teletherapy and deaf/hard of hearing education.

Qualifications:

• Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing in Ohio.
• Proven experience delivering education and therapy services via telehealth platforms.
• Strong understanding of communication modalities and assistive technology for deaf and hard of hearing students.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to provide consultative support efficiently within scheduled service hours.
