A full-time opportunity is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing educational services, delivered via telehealth. This contract position is designed for a full school year, providing comprehensive support to students with hearing impairments.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering specialized instruction and support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing through telehealth platforms.
  • Collaborating with educational staff and families to address individual student needs and enhance learning outcomes.
  • Utilizing expertise in communication strategies and assistive technologies tailored for deaf and hard of hearing students.
  • Participating in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in Deaf education.
  • Adhering to program goals and maintaining accurate documentation to track student progress.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
  • Experience with telehealth service delivery in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of audiological equipment and communication modalities such as ASL and spoken language.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students remotely while ensuring accessibility and inclusion.
  • Excellent communication skills with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

Location:

  • Position based in the Covington, KY area, with services provided via telehealth.
