A full-time teaching position is available for a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing specializing in telehealth services within an educational setting. This role focuses on delivering tailored instruction and support to students with hearing impairments, utilizing telehealth technology to enhance learning experiences throughout the full school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
  • Implement telehealth methods to conduct assessments, therapies, and ongoing communication with students and families.
  • Collaborate with educational staff to develop and modify Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
  • Facilitate professional development and training related to hearing loss and telehealth practices.
  • Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to promote student success.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
  • Experience delivering instruction via telehealth platforms preferred.
  • Strong understanding of audiological and speech-language development.
  • Ability to create supportive, engaging learning environments for students with hearing impairments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with educational standards and legal requirements related to special education.

Location: Ft Mitchell, KY
Contract: Full-time, full school year, with caseload details to be determined by the director.
