Online Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing | Florida

A full-time position is available for a Teacher specialized in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education, providing telehealth services. This role supports students from PreK through 12th grade, including young adults aged 18 to 22, accommodating a caseload of approximately 20-30 students. The assignment is a contract role running until May 28, 2027, with an immediate start date.

Situated virtually with a connection to a Florida-based educational setting, this position focuses on delivering tailored instruction for students with hearing impairments from early childhood to young adulthood. The role requires a credential specific to Deaf or Hard of Hearing education covering K–12 grades.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Utilizing telehealth platforms to deliver effective remote instruction and support.
• Collaborating with families, educational staff, and related professionals to enhance student learning outcomes.
• Monitoring and assessing student progress and adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
• Managing a student caseload efficiently while providing specialized educational services.

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Credential in Deaf or Hard of Hearing education (Grades K–12).
• Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing across a broad age range.
