This full-time, in-person position is slated for the 2026–2027 school year, beginning August 4, 2026. You’ll work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM CST, allowing you to establish meaningful connections in a welcoming school community near Tullahoma, TN.
Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid certification for teaching Deaf/Hard of Hearing students (state-specific requirements apply)
- Direct experience with high school students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing is strongly preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Knowledge of current assistive technology and instructional strategies for D/HH students
- Collaborative spirit for working alongside general educators, specialists, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized, high-quality instruction in alignment with each student’s IEP goals
- Foster a supportive learning environment that promotes student independence and self-advocacy
- Track student progress, assess needs, and adjust teaching strategies as necessary
- Serve as an advocate for D/HH students to ensure access, participation, and equity in the classroom
- Collaborate closely with educational staff, therapists, and families
