Key Details:

• Full-time schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM – 2:45 PM CST
• Academic year: August 4, 2026, to the end of the 2026-2027 school year
• In-person teaching; no remote options
• Focused high school caseload, working with one student

Qualifications:

• Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
• Experience or coursework in deaf education and assistive technology
• Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and learning strategies for D/HH students
• Strong interpersonal communication and advocacy skills
• Ability to collaborate with general educators, parents, and support staff

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement tailored lesson plans that accommodate the unique learning needs of a deaf/hard of hearing high school student
• Collaborate with the educational team to design and modify IEPs
• Monitor progress, track data, and provide regular reports on student achievement
• Promote a positive, inclusive environment conducive to academic and social success
• Support communication through various modalities, including sign language and assistive technology as needed
