Step into a rewarding contract role as a dedicated Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher, providing high-impact support for a high school student in an engaging educational environment. This full-time, in-person position is slated for the 2026–2027 school year, beginning August 4, 2026. You’ll work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM CST, allowing you to establish meaningful connections in a welcoming school community near Tullahoma, TN.

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid certification for teaching Deaf/Hard of Hearing students (state-specific requirements apply)
  • Direct experience with high school students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing is strongly preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Knowledge of current assistive technology and instructional strategies for D/HH students
  • Collaborative spirit for working alongside general educators, specialists, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized, high-quality instruction in alignment with each student’s IEP goals
  • Foster a supportive learning environment that promotes student independence and self-advocacy
  • Track student progress, assess needs, and adjust teaching strategies as necessary
  • Serve as an advocate for D/HH students to ensure access, participation, and equity in the classroom
  • Collaborate closely with educational staff, therapists, and families
