This contract opportunity invites you to collaborate closely with educators and families, playing an essential role in fostering a positive learning atmosphere tailored to each student's communication needs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
  • Profound knowledge of instructional strategies for students with hearing loss
  • Experience with various communication modalities, including ASL, oral, or total communication
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver specialized instruction to Deaf or Hard of Hearing students in accordance with IEP goals
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to suit individual participant needs
  • Support classroom teachers in implementing accommodations and accessible classroom strategies
  • Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and adjust instruction as needed
  • Serve as a liaison among students, families, and school staff to promote academic and social success
  • Provide guidance and advocacy to ensure that students have equal access to education and resources

Compensation for this position ranges from $34.00 to $54.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
