Qualifications & Experience:

• Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
• Knowledge of current instructional strategies for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL), with strong communication and interpretation abilities
• Experience creating and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, parents, and school staff
• Dedication to fostering inclusive, accessible classrooms and promoting student advocacy

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized and group instruction tailored for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
• Adapt curriculum, materials, and teaching techniques to support diverse learning needs
• Regularly assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing insights and recommendations for student success
• Serve as a resource for general education staff regarding Deaf/Hard of Hearing best practices
• Foster a positive, communicative environment that encourages student engagement and growth
