Make a meaningful impact by supporting students with hearing loss as an experienced educator for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Work onsite in a contract role for the 2026-2027 school year, serving a diverse group of learners. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create accessible, inclusive educational experiences that foster academic and personal growth.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDHH)
  • Proven experience or training in working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Strong communication skills, with proficiency in sign language a plus
  • Dedication to individualized instruction and differentiated learning strategies
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, specialists, and families
  • Commitment to promoting a supportive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction that meets the needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
  • Adapt curriculum materials using best practices to ensure accessibility for all learners
  • Utilize assistive technology and other accommodations as needed
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate, timely records
  • Partner with general education teachers and related service providers to support student success
  • Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and team members to ensure a cohesive approach
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of meaningful educational goals
  • Foster self-advocacy and independence within your caseload
