Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
• Experience supporting students with varying degrees of hearing loss (preferred)
• Strong skills in American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication modalities
• Knowledge of assistive technology for hearing impairment
• Collaborative mindset, with excellent communication skills
• Ability to develop and implement individualized educational plans
• Flexibility to adapt strategies for diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative services to students with hearing loss
• Develop and adapt lesson plans in alignment with IEP goals
• Assess student progress; document and report outcomes
• Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and support staff
• Facilitate accommodations and modifications to maximize student success
• Advocate for students’ needs and promote an inclusive learning environment
