Qualifications/Experience Sought:
- Valid teaching certification with endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
- Demonstrated experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Comprehensive knowledge of assistive communication technology, American Sign Language (ASL), and individualized educational planning
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with families, teachers, and support staff
- Flexible mindset and problem-solving abilities to meet diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver tailored instructional programs aligned with individual IEPs
- Provide direct support and instruction in a variety of educational settings
- Advocate for accessible learning, including accommodations and modifications
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers and other service providers to foster inclusive classroom environments
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation of student progress
- Serve as a resource for school staff and families regarding auditory learning needs and strategies
