Qualifications/Experience Sought:

  • Valid teaching certification with endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
  • Demonstrated experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Comprehensive knowledge of assistive communication technology, American Sign Language (ASL), and individualized educational planning
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with families, teachers, and support staff
  • Flexible mindset and problem-solving abilities to meet diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver tailored instructional programs aligned with individual IEPs
  • Provide direct support and instruction in a variety of educational settings
  • Advocate for accessible learning, including accommodations and modifications
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers and other service providers to foster inclusive classroom environments
  • Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation of student progress
  • Serve as a resource for school staff and families regarding auditory learning needs and strategies
