Make a meaningful difference for students with hearing impairments by supporting learners across Chester County as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. This full-time contract opportunity starts December 2026 and continues through June 2027, giving you the chance to guide students from Pre-K to Grade 12. With a diverse caseload of 34 students spread among approximately 12 campuses, you’ll make a broad impact while working alongside a collaborative team of educators.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Pennsylvania Deaf and Hard of Hearing K-12 Licensure (Instructional I or II)
  • Previous experience teaching children who are deaf or hard of hearing, ideally across multiple age groups
  • Strong advocacy abilities and commitment to accessible, differentiated instruction
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Comfort working in a multi-campus, itinerant role
  • Willingness and availability to interview on Friday, Monday, or Tuesday

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, based on individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Adapt curriculum content and teaching methods to accommodate various learning needs and environments
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families to promote student success and accessibility
  • Assist with audiological equipment, classroom accommodations, and assessment
  • Participate in IEP meetings, progress reviews, and regular communication with education teams
  • Travel between assigned campuses as needed to provide high-quality support
