Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
• Experience teaching or supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in K-12 settings
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or other communication modalities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies based on individual student needs
• Passion for fostering independence, self-advocacy, and academic growth in students

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to students with varying degrees of hearing loss
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with student goals
• Provide direct and consultative services in various educational settings
• Work closely with regular education teachers to adapt classroom materials and support student access
• Encourage positive social interaction and participation among all students
• Maintain accurate records on student progress and communicate regularly with parents and staff
