Key Qualifications:

• Valid state teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
• Experience working with students with hearing impairments in school settings
• Strong knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and/or other communication modalities used with the Deaf/Hard of Hearing population
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Effective communication skills with students, staff, and families
• Collaborative mindset and a passion for inclusive education

What You’ll Do:

• Provide direct instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, both in mainstream and self-contained classrooms as needed
• Develop and adapt lesson plans to accommodate individual learning needs
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and support staff to ensure full accessibility and engagement
• Conduct regular assessments to track student progress and adjust strategies accordingly
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to students’ education plans
• Advocate for necessary resources and accommodations to support student success
• Serve as a resource to school staff and families about best practices for inclusion and accessibility
