Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
- Prior experience working with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in an educational environment
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and appropriate instructional strategies
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of Deaf or Hard of Hearing students
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to ensure student success
- Develop and implement IEPs in accordance with federal and state guidelines
- Provide accommodations, resources, and support to facilitate learning and communication
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and school activities
