Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) - Williamstown, Massachusetts

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid credential or certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
• Experience working with students across kindergarten through high school
• Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting curriculum to meet varied needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with staff, students, and families
• Comfort with technology and openness to virtual/VOCO (remote teaching) as needed
• Experience supervising or coordinating with paraeducators is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to DHH students across the district in both elementary and secondary settings
• Adapt lessons and materials to ensure accessibility and comprehension for all learners
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other professionals
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized educational goals
• Serve as a resource to staff and families, delivering advocacy and guidance on DHH best practices
• Travel within the district as needed to support students at multiple sites
