Key Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification with a specialization in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
• Previous experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, preferably in a school setting
• Strong collaboration skills to work with general education teachers, administrators, and families
• Ability to adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet diverse learning needs
• Excellent communication skills, including fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) or another communication modality as required

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver instructional plans tailored to students’ individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Assess and monitor student progress, making data-driven instructional decisions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success
• Advocate for student accommodations and inclusion in general education environments when appropriate
• Counsel and equip students, families, and staff with resources and strategies for effective communication and learning
