What you bring:
- Active Washington teaching license required
- Prior experience working as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (preferred)
- Strong communication skills and flexibility in adapting instructional approaches
- Ability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Passion for fostering student growth in a positive, inclusive setting
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure accessibility and appropriate accommodations
- Engage families in the educational process, offering support and guidance
- Maintain accurate records and monitor student progress
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in deaf education
