What you bring:

  • Active Washington teaching license required
  • Prior experience working as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (preferred)
  • Strong communication skills and flexibility in adapting instructional approaches
  • Ability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Passion for fostering student growth in a positive, inclusive setting

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal regulations
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure accessibility and appropriate accommodations
  • Engage families in the educational process, offering support and guidance
  • Maintain accurate records and monitor student progress
  • Stay current with best practices and advancements in deaf education
