We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our school-based team. This full-time position provides specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments, helping them achieve academic success and independence in the educational environment.

Qualifications:

Valid teaching certificate with a Vision endorsement issued by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE)
Knowledge of instructional strategies, accommodations, and assistive technology for students with visual impairments
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Position Details:

37.5 hours per week
School-based schedule
Collaborative, student-focused environment
Responsibilities:

Provide direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments
Develop and implement individualized educational goals
Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers
Assess student needs and recommend appropriate accommodations and supports
