Bring your expertise as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired to a rewarding opportunity supporting K-12 students across multiple schools in the Apopka, FL area. Key Qualifications:

• Active Professional Florida TVI (Teacher of the Visually Impaired) License
• Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) Certification
• Background in testing and screening students for visual impairments
• Experience in school-based settings preferred, though not mandatory
• Comfortable traveling between multiple campuses (up to 13 schools, approximately 15-20 students, K-12)

Responsibilities:

• Deliver both direct and consultative services to visually impaired students, adapting instruction to individual needs
• Screen students and assess for visual impairments, maintaining up-to-date records and reports
• Collaborate with faculty, families, and related service providers to create accessible learning environments
• Develop flexible weekly plans in coordination with district leadership to optimize travel and daily scheduling
• Utilize district’s main office as a home base, with the majority of work performed across assigned schools and some services provided virtually
• Support IEP development and help ensure compliance with educational goals

Additional Details:

• Full-time, 35 hours per week (8:00am–3:30pm, with 30-minute unpaid lunch)
• Hybrid model allows a balance between onsite and virtual service delivery
