Step into a vital role serving students across multiple schools as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) with OMS certification. This full-time contract position is an excellent opportunity to make an impact within the K-12 setting, supporting approximately 15-20 students through direct and consultative services. Based at the district’s main office, you’ll enjoy autonomy and variety as you provide itinerant support across 13 schools, collaborating with district leaders to tailor a work and travel schedule that aligns with your lifestyle.

Key Qualifications and Credentials:

  • Current Florida TVI professional licensure
  • OMS certification (required)
  • Testing/screening expertise for visually impaired students
  • Previous school-based or K-12 education experience preferred (not required)
  • Ability to work independently, manage a flexible schedule, and travel locally between multiple school sites

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction and consultative services for visually impaired K-12 students
  • Perform screenings and assessments to identify student needs and tailor educational plans
  • Collaborate with special education teams, families, and other service providers
  • Manage documentation and adherence to district policies and reporting standards
  • Support a diverse caseload, ensuring individualized strategies that foster student growth

This position involves working on-site, with the convenience of the district office as your home base and travel to assigned campuses.
