This contract role focuses on working with a single student at one location, allowing you to provide targeted, individualized instruction and support. With a flexible schedule and a clearly defined assignment window from now through May 25, you’ll enjoy both structure and adaptability as you help your student thrive academically.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certification or endorsement as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
  • Demonstrated experience working with students who are visually impaired, preferably in a school setting
  • Strong collaboration skills for partnering with general education teachers, staff, and families
  • Proficiency in adapting curriculum and learning materials for visual accessibility (Braille, large print, assistive technology)
  • Ability to assess visual functioning and develop appropriate IEP goals
  • Passion for fostering independence and confidence in learners

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct instruction to one student in a dedicated school building
  • Adapting educational materials and teaching methods to meet individual needs
  • Consulting regularly with classroom teachers, therapists, and family members
  • Monitoring progress, collecting data, and contributing to IEP meetings
  • Utilizing and maintaining assistive devices and accessibility tools
  • Supporting the overall social and academic development of your student
