In this position, you’ll be working directly with a single student in their home environment, providing specialized instruction twice monthly in hour-long, in-person sessions. The caseload is anticipated to expand in the near future, giving you a chance to further grow your impact and involvement.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired or similar credentials
- Experience working with visually impaired students (preferred)
- Ability to provide direct, in-home educational services (no teletherapy)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to travel locally
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-person instruction for one student two times monthly (1 hour per session)
- Evaluate student needs and develop individualized learning strategies
- Collaborate with families to support student progress
- Maintain session documentation and report on educational outcomes
- Adjust approaches as caseload increases or student goals evolve
